Innovating for a brighter future
We're making tropical agriculture more sustainable and productive by using cutting-edge gene editing techniques. We’re developing hardier and more sustainable crop varieties that flourish even in the face of climate change and pests.
Together, we're enabling brighter futures for growers who need it most. From source to shelf.
We believe that innovation must go hand in hand with responsible stewardship, transparent communication, and strict adherence to global regulatory standards.
Our stewardship practices inform how we innovate, operate, and bring to market improved varieties of tropical crops that are better for growers, consumers and the planet.
We ensure that every product we develop can be used safely, sustainably, and in compliance with the laws of each country where we operate.
Our stewardship practices include:
• Rigorous internal safety and quality assessments
• Compliance with all national and regional regulations governing precision bred products
• Responsible product lifecycle management, from development through to commercialisation
We actively engage with stakeholders across the value chain to ensure transparency and provide information about how our products address the needs of farmers, processors, distributors, retailers and consumers.
Quality Standards
International certification
We adhere to international standards to ensure product safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.
Our operations and systems are regularly audited and certified.
We are proud to be certified by the Global Stewardship Group who establish best industry practices for crops bred using advanced technologies across the full product lifecycle from research and development through to commercialisation.
Regulations
How our crops are regulated
Regulations for new crop varieties vary around the world. In many countries, crops developed using modern precision breeding methods are regulated differently from traditional breeding methods and from older genetic modification approaches.
We work closely with regulators in every market to make sure our products meet all local legal and safety requirements before they are introduced. Our regulatory commitments include:
• Providing regulators with the information they need to confirm how our crops are classified
• Monitoring of regulatory developments so we remain compliant as rules evolve
• Applying global stewardship standards for how our products are handled, sold and distributed
Country by country
Because regulations differ from country to country, our products are not available everywhere. In some markets where specific regulatory frameworks for precision bred crops are in place, our varieties have been recognised as equivalent to conventional crops and approved accordingly.
This careful, country‑by‑country approach reflects our commitment to meeting high international standards and ensuring our products are used responsibly wherever they are grown or sold.
